1. How does the free AI allowance work?

Free accounts include 5 AI generations per calendar month. FSRS review, manual card building, imports, stats and the forgetting curve don't use this allowance and are always free. The allowance resets at the start of each month; Pro removes the AI generation limit.

2. Are my imported PDFs uploaded?

No. PDFs are read locally on your device. Only the text you choose to convert is sent through our secure server to AI providers to draft cards; the original file never leaves your device and the text is not retained by us after your cards are generated.

3. Can I review offline?

Yes. Downloaded decks can be reviewed offline. Your ratings take effect locally and queue up, then sync automatically when you're back online — with no loss and no duplicates.

4. Can I migrate from Anki / Quizlet?

Yes. DeckShift imports Anki .apkg files and CSV (front,back[,tags]). Cards are added following the deck structure, given an initial FSRS state, and enter normal scheduling right away.

5. How do I cancel my subscription?

On iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; Pro stays usable until then. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.

6. How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your decks, cards and review history; the request is completed on our servers within 30 days.
